Interagency Service Coordination (ISC)
A comprehensive, coordinated multi-agency involvement approach
Interagency Service Coordination (ISC)
ImCal offers coordinated services to families, children, and youth who experience difficulties in their home or school environments as a result of emotional and behavioral disorder (EBD).
Interagency Service Coordination (ISC) Process is a comprehensive, coordinated multi-agency involvement approach to service planning and implementation to address the needs of children/youth with complex and multi-agency needs.
The goals of the ISC process are to:
-
-
- Work with families of children/youth who are at risk of removal from their current home placement or school environment;
- Coordinate existing agency resources to fill service gaps and avoid duplicate efforts for individual children/youth referred for ISC services; and
- Identify service gaps and problems which require long-term, systemic solutions
-
The ISC is open to all children/youth residing in one of the five parishes served by ImCal (Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis) who have multi-agency involvement, and the seriousness of their behavioral health condition warrants a higher level of interagency coordination to address service gaps and prevent removal from the home or school placement. Children/youth may be referred to the ISC by any participating agency.
