Rhonda Kitchens KPLC is leading a community campaign for Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month in September — and she needs your help. After losing her 37-year-old son, Andrew, to suicide earlier this year, Rhonda has made it her mission to spread hope and remind others that their lives matter.
Together, we’ll paint storefront windows across Southwest Louisiana with a powerful message:
•YOU MATTER
•988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
We’re looking for volunteer artists willing to donate their time and talent to bring this vision to life. Paint will be provided, and stores will be assigned close to you to minimize travel.
•Painting Dates: August 28–31
•Purpose: To remind every passerby that they are seen, they are valued, and they matter — especially as we enter Suicide Prevention Month.
•Let’s blanket our community with light, love, and hope. One small act can help save a life.
