NAMI Family to Family is a free 8 session education program for family and friends of a loved one experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.
It provides information about various diagnoses, treatment options, and paths to recovery. Led by trained peer facilitators, this program helps participants discover new problem-solving techniques, apply effective coping strategies, and develop the communication skills necessary to de-escalate situations arising within the family dynamic during a mental health crisis. It also offers the lived experiences of others who successfully advocated for services through the mental health system.
